The recent Claret Way Global and Jubilee of Youth showed us that hope sometimes begins with listening. In a world that can feel so busy and loud, simply knowing that there’s someone who truly hears and sits beside you is a powerful gift. It’s a deep feeling of being seen, heard, and not alone. This connection gave us a real and joyful hope in each other from the beginning.

With every step during our pilgrimage, our hope grew stronger. Walking to the different churches felt like a shared journey of faith. We prayed and had quiet moments of reflection, building a sense of community and a deep connection to God. Walking with fellow pilgrims showed us that our path with God is never meant to be lonely or tiring. We found amazing strength in walking side by side, which gave us the solid hope that we can face any challenges when we are with our companions.

There was a comfortable feeling in the air as we listened to young people worldwide during the Night Vigil at Tor Vergata, Rome. Even with different backgrounds, we were all connected by the same spirit and faith. Pope Leo XIV’s message about persevering in faith felt like a fire being lit inside us. It reminded us that our faith is not just something we have, but something we use to make a difference. His call for us to be active in the Church’s challenges of today filled us with purpose and drove us to believe in a brighter future ahead of us.

Ultimately, this pilgrimage proved that hope does not disappoint because we are with the risen Lord Jesus. The church’s young people are the future, and we feel a deep and certain hope knowing that the Church journeys with us, listening, guiding, and lighting our way. The whole experience during the Jubilee of Youth was a beautiful reminder that by listening to one another and walking together in faith, we can be a light of hope for a world that needs it.
