ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines (September 14, 2026) Claret School of Zamboanga City held a special talk for parents and guardians featuring actress and speaker Candy Pangilinan on September 12, 2026. The event took place at the Fr. Jesus Vazquez, CMF Gymnasium at 8:30 AM. The gathering served as part of the 60th Founding Anniversary celebration of the educational institution.
Pangilinan shared her personal experiences and insights regarding parenthood. She advised the attendees to focus less on competing, to avoid comparison, and to remain true to themselves. Her message focused on practical ways to build stronger relationships and grow together as a family.
During the morning session, the speaker encouraged the audience to act as a friend more than a parent. She explained that raising a child requires active listening, understanding, and consistent presence rather than perfection.
