Nov 10, 2025 | SOMI

Quezon City, Philippines. The Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Province of the Claretian Missionaries hosted a critical meeting on October 22, 2025, bringing together Claretian leaders and coordinators from the mission partners of the Conference of Major Superiors of the Philippines (CMSP). This gathering successfully laid the groundwork for enhanced coordination and synergy in their shared mission.

The session convened at the Provincial Curia and focused on three key objectives: mutual introduction, strengthening existing collaboration, and building greater coordination in mission work.

Attendees from the Claretian Missionaries included Fr. Amador Tumbaga, CMF (Provincial Superior and CMSP Executive Board member), Fr. Efren Decreto, CMF (CMF@UN Link Representative), Fr. Arnold Abelardo, CMF (JPIC Coordinator), Br. Joseph Villarin, CMF (Mission Procurator), and Fr. Arvin Bellen, CMF (Prefect of Apostolate and SOMI Coordinator).

Representatives were present from vital mission partners, including:

  • Rural Missionaries of the Philippines (RMP): Focused on serving peasants, fisherfolk, and indigenous peoples.
  • National Taskforce on Urban Conscientization (NTUC): Dedicated to raising awareness on justice and peace issues affecting the urban poor and local migrants.
  • Taskforce on the Orientation of Church Personnel (TOCP): Providing contextual theological formation and immersion experiences.

Also collaborating were delegates from Church Workers Solidarity and the Ecumenical Bishops Forum, both deeply committed to advancing workers’ rights and peace initiatives. This gathering powerfully reflects the shared commitment of the Claretian Missionaries and CMSP partners to continue their journey together—serving the poor, promoting justice, and witnessing the Gospel with renewed hope and solidarity.
