Rome, Italy. Claret Way Global / Youth Jubilee Pilgrimage 2025 (CYG-YJP 2025) was a remarkable experience that challenged me in ways I never expected. It taught me that even in the face of trials, HOPE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. I truly agree. In seasons of waiting, I believe God is gently preparing my heart for the things He wants to give me. He allowed me to feel the pain, trials, and rejections before He gave me the gifts I truly deserve.
As a young Claretian, Claret Way Global 2025 has been an incredible experience that has marked the start of a new chapter in my life. The experiences, friendships, and lessons I have gained have left me feeling incredibly grateful. This gathering has strengthened my service as a Claretian and ignited a renewed sense of purpose within me.
One of my highlights throughout the pilgrimage was entering the “HOLY DOOR”, which opens every 25 years, and experiencing the Holy Mass of Pope Leo XIV that everyone wanted to witness. I found myself free when I was inside St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican, realizing that all of my challenges and struggles had paid off because of the presence of God during those moments. I could feel the freedom throughout the pilgrimage. Each day brought me a new lesson, especially in preparing ourselves for the pilgrim walk. I felt nervous because we needed to walk for hours every day to reach the venue. I can genuinely say that it was physically exhausting to the point where I wanted to give up. However, I realized that if I continued to entertain the thought of giving up, I would never truly understand the purpose of this pilgrimage. Sacrifice is essential!
This experience has inspired me to continue serving my CYM community. I am forever blessed and grateful to all my Claretian family. Salamat po sa pagtitiwala! Biyaya kayong lahat. The journey was not just about reaching a destination—it was about the lessons learned along the way. I am ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead, knowing that I am never alone on this journey of HOPE.
