QUEZON CITY, Philippines (September 20, 2026)
Sch. Joseph Rainy T. Amporias, CMF, and Sch. Michael M. Granada, CMF, represented the scholastics of Saint Anthony Mary Claret Theology House in the Junior-Seminarians Forum (JSF) on September 19, 2026. The gathering took place at the OFM Postulancy Hall of the Basilica Minore and Santuario de San Pedro Bautista in Quezon City.
The event brought together 110 temporary professed religious, juniors, and seminarians from Metro Manila and neighboring provinces. Participants represented 20 male congregations and 24 female congregations. Organized with the assistance of the Conference of Major Superiors in the Philippines, the forum seeks to foster fraternity, cooperation, and solidarity among young people in religious formation.
Founded in 1986, the organization unites simple and temporary professed religious sisters and brothers. This recent meeting marked the resumption of the annual assembly after a hiatus caused by the global pandemic.
The program featured an orientation explaining the background and objectives of the group. The attendees then conducted an election to distribute responsibilities for future group events. The assembly elected the Claretians to serve in the core group. The Claretian representatives will manage the Technical and Logistics tasks with support from other religious institutes.
The gathering concluded with the shared goal of strengthening communion among young consecrated persons. The forum aims to form religious men and women rooted in prayer, fraternity, care for creation, closeness to the poor, and service to the Church.
