Philippines (September 21, 2026)
Various Claretian parishes across the Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Province conducted a series of pastoral, administrative, and community activities throughout September 2026. These updates represent only a portion of the ongoing mission. Many other parish activities are not mentioned in this report. The province asks the faithful to continue praying for the generosity of the silent workers who quietly serve in the vineyard of the Lord.
The Immaculate Conception Parish in North Susana hosted its Parish General Assembly on September 12. Rev. Fr. Kevin Rendor and Rev. Fr. Jay Coching, CMF, delivered talks on the role of the laity and pastoral leadership. Rev. Fr. CJ Mortela, CMF, the parish priest, presented a report on the current state of the parish. Following small group discussions, Rev. Fr. Amador C. Tumbaga, CMF, Provincial Superior, presided over the concluding mass. Fr. Ama celebrated the liturgy and offered spiritual support to the lay leaders and volunteers.
In a separate initiative, the Social Action Ministry of the Immaculate Conception Parish held a graduation ceremony for 14 beneficiaries of its feeding program. The parish coordinated with the Diocese of Novaliches and the Hapag-Asa Integrated Nutrition Program to provide daily meals to children from local communities to ensure long term nutritional development.
The Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish gathered on September 19 for “Sabado Ko, Kay Maria,” which translates to “My Saturday is for Mary.” Rev. Fr. Julius Boado, CMF, presided over the morning mass for this Marian devotion. In the afternoon, the parish adjusted its regular schedule to accommodate “Lakbay ni Francisco” or the “Journey of Francis,” a special faith activity that gathered the parishioners for communal reflection.
On September 20, the San Antonio Maria Claret Parish in Liwanag hosted “Gabay Pag-Asa,” meaning “Guide of Hope.” Church workers from the St. Peter Vicariate gathered to listen to the Word of God and develop a bible sharing guide for their respective local communities.
Meanwhile, the San Antonio Maria Claret Parish in Zamboanga City held its monthly Parish Pastoral and Finance Council meeting on September 6. The parish also began repainting the church roof on September 10. By September 20, local catechists started preparing young candidates for the sacrament of Confirmation.
At the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Maluso, community members met with their parish priest, Rev. Fr. Jo Stephen C. Cagaanan, CMF, on September 5. The parishioners then conducted community service and cleaned the areas surrounding the church building.
