QUEZON CITY, Philippines (September 7, 2026)

The Institute for Consecrated Life in Asia officially opened the academic year 2026 to 2027 with a series of community activities. The activities culminated in the installation of new student leaders on September 7, 2026. The institution prepared the resident community through spiritual and organizational events over the past month.

The academic year began on August 10 with the Mass of the Holy Spirit. Rev. Fr. Alejandro Gobrin, CMF, celebrated the morning liturgy. After Mass, Rev. Fr. Agustinus Supur, CMF, Director of ICLA, led the student orientation. The orientation directed the students to focus on three distinct dimensions for the new term. These include cognitive skills, spiritual development, and missionary capabilities.

Then, the resident students conducted elections to choose the Community Leadership Team. The students also elected leaders for specific countries and year levels to help organize the diverse residents.

On August 31, Rev. Fr. Aloysius Etwino Ganti, CMF, guided the first assembly of the resident community alongside the newly elected committee. Fr. Supur delivered the opening remarks. During the gathering, the students thanked the outgoing leaders for their service and formed new service teams for the coming months.

The opening schedule concluded on September 7 with an Installation Mass. The community formally installed the new officers. The liturgy offered prayers for the leaders to guide the resident students with wisdom, humility, and a spirit of service throughout the year.
