CYC RE-ECHO 2026: Solidarity in Love, Mission in Action

Oct 12, 2026 | Youth Ministry

October 9–11, 2026 | Datal Anggas Mission, Sarangani Province

The Claret Youth Camp (CYC) Re-Echo 2026 was a three-day gathering of Indigenous Claretian youth centered on the theme “Solidarity in Love, Mission in Action.” The event brought together young people from different communities to strengthen their faith, build friendships, celebrate their cultural identity, and deepen their commitment to the mission of the Church.

The gathering began with the arrival and registration of participants, followed by small group meetings and the Opening Mass, which placed the entire event in God’s hands. The Opening Salvo, led by the Claret Youth Ministry and scholars, showcased the creativity, culture, and vibrant spirit of Indigenous youth. The celebration continued with the Chuga Dance, getting-to-know-you activities, group yells, and GKK presentations, allowing the delegates to build friendships, strengthen unity, and begin their journey as one Claretian family.

The delegates also experienced meaningful missionary activities that challenged them to step beyond their comfort zones and discover the true meaning of service and solidarity. Through the Mission Possible activity, they approached strangers and learned the values of humility, courage, and human generosity. The Luto ug Kaon sa Arroz Caldo activity brought the youth and children together through food, fellowship, and joyful encounters, demonstrating that mission is not only about giving but also about building relationships and sharing life with others. Meanwhile, the Claret Race promoted teamwork, perseverance, and unity, while the Praise and Worship allowed the delegates to express their gratitude and renew their faith in God.

The gathering further strengthened the delegates’ missionary formation through the session “Claretian Youth in the Digital World,” facilitated by Rebecca L. Tuwa. Through video presentations from different groups, the participants showcased their creativity and explored how digital platforms can become instruments for evangelization and spreading positive values. This was followed by the second session of the Heart Beat Framework, facilitated by Maygelyn Tuwa, which encouraged the youth to listen to God’s call, become more sensitive to the needs of others, and respond to their communities with love and compassion. The Walking Rosary also deepened their spirituality, while the Holy Mass, presided over by Fr. Martin, Prefect of the Youth and Vocation Ministry, became a meaningful moment of thanksgiving for the blessings, friendships, and experiences shared throughout the gathering.

The event concluded with a joyful closing program that celebrated the unity, lessons, and renewed commitment formed among the delegates. More than just a gathering, the CYC Re-Echo 2026 became a meaningful journey of faith, cultural identity, fellowship, and missionary formation. It reminded the Indigenous Claretian youth that they can become instruments of God’s love in their families, schools, churches, and communities. As they returned to their respective missions, they carried the challenge to live their faith through concrete acts of service, use technology responsibly, and stand in solidarity with others.
